What We Do

  • Anxiety and stress are normal in everyday life, but sometimes our stress levels can make things feel unbearable. Our focus in counseling sessions is to equip clients with the ability to face their anxieties by teaching beneficial coping skills, by getting to the root of the issue, and by helping clients reduce panic and gain overall peace of mind.

  • Depression can feel like a heavy weight you’re carrying around. It can affect not only your mood, but your everyday life. Our focus in counseling sessions is to reduce symptoms of depression by learning how to recognize, accept, and cope with depressive feelings, and to learn to develop healthy, supportive habits and interpersonal relationships that will increase daily functioning.

  • Sad things happen around us every day and the grief can be overwhelming. Our focus in counseling sessions is to normalize grieving by helping clients recognize their feelings, build resilience, and learn how to find hope after life-changing events.

  • Marriage can be hard, especially during intense seasons of transition or other struggles. Our focus in counseling sessions is to increase communication skills, learn how to handle conflict, and develop emotional intelligence.

  • Sometimes the most stressful parts of our day are the people around us. Our focus in counseling sessions is to help clients identify what triggers them, learn beneficial coping skills, and reduce emotional reactivity.

  • Trauma is what happens inside of us as a result of what happens to us. This is an experience, not a single event. Trauma obliterates the distinction between the present and the past. Our focus in counseling sessions is to learn how to survive and thrive in the present as we process what happened to us in the past.

  • Big changes in our lives can cause us to feel unsteady. Things such as divorce, a death in the family, or even going to college or moving to a new state can feel unsettling. Our focus in counseling sessions is to help clients develop resilience during life changes, so that they can develop a positive outlook and feel confident as they move forward.

  • Healthy boundaries are essential for emotional well-being and strong relationships, yet many people struggle to set or maintain them. Our focus in counseling sessions is to help clients identify unhealthy patterns, learn how to clearly communicate needs, and develop boundaries that protect their mental and emotional health while still fostering meaningful connections.

  • Co-dependency can cause individuals to lose sight of their own needs while focusing excessively on others. Our focus in counseling sessions is to help clients recognize co-dependent behaviors, build self-awareness and self-worth, and develop healthier, more balanced relationships rooted in mutual respect and independence.

  • Relationships with family, friends, or partners can be complicated and emotionally draining. Our focus in counseling sessions is to help clients improve communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more fulfilling connections.
